Omegawow is a server that has been online since patch 1.0.8 started as Maestro's private server later on as Dutchportal and finally as it is now as Omegawow.
Started as a fun project Omegawow has grown ever since, slow and steady.
Our goal is fun, and provide the server as is!

We are a mid-rate blizzlike server, wich means that our rates are somewhat higher then blizz.
Our rates are as follows:

Rates: xp 3x, drops: 3x, gold: 1x, regeneration: 1x, resting: 3x in taverns or city
Custom stuff: Portals in main cities.

We do have some rules wich are unfortunatly needed to keep this server nice for everybody.

General

The use of any kind of hack, such as speedhacks, wallhacks and flyhacks, will result in a permanent banishment from the OmegaWoW gameserver on both your IP address and your account(s). When you encounter a server bug and exploit this bug rather than reporting it, you risk a punishment which is up to the GM that catches you.

sidenote:The punishment for using hacks such as mentioned above are applied to an IP address and not only to a character or an account. This means that if u share your IP address with other people, for instance when you live in the same house with someone else who plays on omegawow or when you play at a local internet cafe, you risk getting your accounts closed as well when another person on the same IP address gets banned. Therefore we strongly advice never to share your IP address with other people, but if that is simply not possible then be very sure u can trust those other people with your IP address. Either way, in a case of a permanent ban you can never use the excuse that it was someone else on your IP address who violated the rules, period!


There are people from all over the world playing on OmegaWoW, different nationalities and languages flow through our community. Therefore, we only allow English to be spoken on the public channels, such as the world channel, the general zone channel, the trade channel in capital cities and the looking for group channel. Respect your fellow community members, never use vulgar or offensive language. Also, any kind of racism or insulting one's religion or culture is strictly forbidden.

The following actions will also result in punishment, possibly a permanent ban:
- Making the server crash on purpose, whether it's done by a bugged quest, NPC interaction or a third party program.
- Advertising for other websites and servers with the intention to lure people away from OmegaWoW.
- Offensive forum, Guild, Pet or Character names.
- Pretending to be a staff member of Omegawow, this includes using the Blizzard icon ingame to make someone believe you are a GM.
- Using spells for things they aren't intended for.
- Posting inappropriate content on the forum according to the forum users or administrators.
- its highly forbidden to sell chars/items/gold from our server for real money, if we get a report of it we will ban the account(s) involved in this case.

PvP

PvP in Dalaran is not allowed. punishment may vary depending on the GM.

Using any kind of third program in Player versus Player situations is not allowed. Meaning that it is not allowed to use programs such as keypressers or programs which make you able to keep doing something while being away from keyboard, actions such as healing friendly targets.

If you find a certain action, such as a spell or talent, or an item's use effect which is bugged that could lead to an unfair advantage for the user, it is very wise to report this on the forum rather than exploiting this bug to one's personal advantage.
People who dont report issues like this and are caught, risk being stripped from gear, gold , honro point levels or banned, depending on the situation

OmegaWoW is based on a PvP environment and therefore breaking the rules mentioned above can lead up to a banishment from our gameserver on both your IP address and account(s).


Approaching GameMasters

when you want to report an issue, make sure that your in-game ticket contains a detailed description of your problem. Before you submit an issue, ask around on the public channels first to see if other community members have a sollution or might be able to answer your problem.
In case of a bugged quest, spell/talent, NOC or item, file a report on the forum in the Bugs section.
Gm will not instantly attempt to fix the bugs because the in-game GM's are no database administrators.


Show respect towards the GameMasters, they spend their free time in the best interest of OmegaWoW. Never bother a GameMaster if he is playing on his own characters, GMs are only there to offer their help when they are on their GM character.

The GM's/Admins are NOT obliged to fix bugs. Bugs may be very hard to fix, and there are core/DB scripters already who have nothing to do with Omegawow. If we do not fix a bug, do NOT complain about it, not on the forum and not ingame. This may result in a punishment. Just hope the bugs will be fixed soon and let the GM's/Admins do their job, which is running the server and not fixing bugs.

You are not allowed to ask a GM for any of the following things:
- Levels
- Items
- Teleportation
- Money
- Talent Points
- Server crash/restart
- Kick from the server


We reserve the right to ban you, remove your account or remove any of your characters at any moment without a warning.

A player will be punished by the Game Master, if he/she violates the rules in any form or way. The punishment will be chosen by the Game Master in question and won't be discussable or debate.

Getting punished 3 times will eventually result in a PERMANENT ban, which won't be discussable at all times. 3 lessons is enough as it is.

Sometimes we have a database cleanup for inactive accounts, most of the time it are accounts not used in 2 months or longer.
This means to keep your account away from deletion, login on the server once in 2 months, you dont have to play just login.
We wont refund/restore chars and or accounts deleted by our automatic inactivity script!!

If any error or something else occurs (like a roll-back or restore of the database) where you lose items, gold, levels or even if you lose your character, we will NOT refund it.
